01 — Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how Avatars and Co ("Avatarsco," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit avatarsandco.com (the "Site") or sign up for communications from us.

We take your privacy seriously. We collect only what we need, we do not sell your data, and we give you clear ways to opt out at any time.

02 — What We Collect

Email address. If you sign up for our mailing list or submit a project inquiry, we collect the email address you provide. This is voluntary — you are never required to submit your email to browse the Site.

Inquiry content. When you submit a project brief via the contact links on this Site, the contents of that inquiry are sent directly to our email inbox. We retain that information only for the purpose of responding to your request.

Usage and analytics data. We use a third-party analytics service to understand how visitors find and use the Site. This may include your device and browser type, operating system, approximate location (derived from your IP address), the page or source that referred you, the pages you view, and how you interact with them. We use this information in aggregate to measure traffic and improve the Site. You can opt out (see "Cookies & Analytics" below), and it is never used to contact you.

We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or sensitive personal data through this Site.

03 — How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to: respond to your project inquiries, send you updates and announcements if you have subscribed to our mailing list, and improve the Site based on aggregate usage patterns.

We do not use your information for automated profiling or decision-making, and we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.

04 — Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party service providers to help operate this Site. These providers may process certain data on our behalf in the following categories:

Email communications. If you subscribe to our mailing list, your email address is stored and managed through a third-party email marketing platform. That platform is prohibited from using your data for its own purposes.

Inquiry forms. Project inquiry submissions are routed through a third-party form processing service, which forwards them to our inbox and does not retain your information beyond that function.

Site hosting and delivery. Our Site is served through a third-party hosting and security infrastructure provider, which may process standard request data such as IP addresses solely for the purpose of delivering and protecting the Site.

Analytics. A third-party analytics provider processes the usage data described above on our behalf to give us aggregate insight into Site traffic. It is contractually limited to providing this service and is not permitted to use your data for its own purposes.

All service providers we work with are selected for their commitment to data privacy and are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing or commercial purposes.

05 — Cookies & Analytics

We use analytics cookies and similar local storage to understand how visitors use the Site. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your data. You can opt out at any time: enable the "Do Not Track" setting in your browser (which we honor), block or clear cookies and local storage for this Site, or email us to ask that we exclude your data.

We also use a small amount of functional local storage to remember your preferences, such as not showing you the same welcome prompt twice. This is stored only on your device. Basic request data such as IP addresses may also be processed by our hosting and security infrastructure (Cloudflare) for delivery and protection only.

06 — Email Communications

If you subscribe to our mailing list, you will receive occasional updates, announcements, and news from Avatarsco. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You may opt out at any time with no consequence.

We do not send unsolicited commercial email. If you submitted an inquiry but did not sign up for our list, we will only contact you in relation to that inquiry.

07 — Data Retention

We retain your email address on our mailing list until you unsubscribe. Inquiry submissions are retained in our inbox for as long as reasonably necessary to manage our correspondence. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

08 — Your Rights

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request that we correct inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, opt out of analytics, and withdraw consent to email communications at any time.

09 — Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10 — Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
